Description Programme for the musical performances given on 1 May 1851 as part of the Great Exhibition in London. This performance, which combined ceremonial fanfares with a rendering of Handel's Halleluiah Chorus, was attended by Her Majesty Queen Victoria.

The music was directed by Sir George Smart, Sir Henry Rowley Bishop, and William Sterndale Bennett, with the choirs of the Chapel Royal, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, and St George’s Chapel. Also, some of the pupils of the Royal Academy of Music and the Chorus and part of the band of the Sacred Harmonic Society.

Also listed as performers are Mr Goss and Mr Turle, Dr G. Elvey and Dr [Henry] Wylde, Monsieur Danjou, Mr Hopkins, Mr G. Cooper and Mr Henry Smart (organ) and the Bands of the Coldstream Guards and the Scotch Fusilier Guards.
